This weekend training will present the foundation of Pilates as a movement practice and teaching methodology and how it relates to functional everyday movement as well as an anatomical understanding complementing other movement practices and sports. It will highlight a contemporary Pilates practice to music in order to enhance coordination and rhythmic consistency of muscle activation.
Daniela has been rocking our Hot Pilates classes ever since the opening of Yoga Flame Lausanne back in February 2017. Her signature classes have established a strong fan base to her unique way of delivering seamless classes with precise cueing and an effective full body, low-impact workout.
Whether you are a certified teacher or an occasional pilates practitioner, this training will bring you a deeper knowledge on Pilates and give you Daniela’s approach to groove with Pilates and deliver classes in your own unique style.
Saturday 2.5 hours
– Introduction to Pilates history, philosophy, and application
– Pilates Principles: Control, Precision, Breath, Center, Concentration, Flow, Isolation. Powerhouse overview: pelvic floor, posture assessment & functional movement.
Sunday 2.5 hours
– Functional Anatomy and Foundational exercises: movement essence and exercise goals, muscular activation and sequencing
– Functional Choreography, effective cueing, layering progressions, rhythm with breathwork
