Ashtanga & All is Coming Workshops
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a flowing, dynamic form of yoga which focuses on building inner heat. The flowing movements lead to an increase in strength, flexibility and energy. Through the synchronization of breath and movement and the repetitive sequence of asanas (yoga postures), the practitioner is able to experience a state of meditation and calm while developing a self practice.
The 5 workshops will break down the Ashtanga Primary Series with clear explanations and pose tutorials. You are welcome to join punctually any single session as well. At the end of each session, you’ll take what you’ve learned and put it into practice.
If you’re looking to explore deeper into Ashtanga yoga and your mind-body connection, this series will give you the confidence to move forward.
Delara found yoga at first a means of finding equanimity during the stress of University and dance training, and it was that thread of balance that got her hooked in 2003. It was not until 2009 and finding the Ashtanga Vinyasa system in Madrid, taught by Borja Romero, that she experienced the profound and transformative impact that a dedicated and daily practice can have on all aspects of life. Delara continues to study and to practice Yoga and Sufi teachings with great enthusiasm and inquisitiveness. She is currently practicing Ashtanga Intermediate Series seeking the guidance of teachers abroad, making trips to India and taking workshops. She also teaches Pranayama the way she learnt form one of her most influential teachers, Rolf Naujokat. Delara also have a bachelor’s degree in Human Geography and Spanish Literature from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. After years of nomad life working as a dancer, she currently resides in the beautiful canton of Vaud in Switzerland, where she continues sharing her love for dance, therapy and Yoga.
