What inspired you to become a yoga teacher and how did you get started?

My yoga journey began in 2009 when I dabbled in hot yoga for a few years before branching out and exploring more traditional roots of physical asana practice such as Ashtanga and Hatha. Based in London for many years, I was spoilt for choice when it came to quality of teachers, studios and types of yoga available to practice. I eventually focused my time on Rocket Yoga, a practice deeply rooted in the original Ashtanga Primary and Secondary series, but with the flexibility to add in creative variations and inversions. I loved the empowering feeling that Rocket Yoga gave me over time, building strength, flexibility and playfulness in movement. As I have discovered on my own yoga journey, yoga is a form of movement that can provide so many positive benefits for individuals. Regardless whether they are recovering from injury, recovering from trauma (physical and emotional), looking to explore and diversify a new physical practice, or developing breathwork and meditation techniques, yoga can be a haven for anyone who is open to discovering it. I love sharing my practice and seeing students grow in their own confidence and movement over time.
